Severe storms are likely across parts of the Tennessee Valley and Southern Appalachians by this afternoon. The highest risk for flash flooding lies along the Gulf Coast near New Orleans and Mobile, AL where a stalled front will allow for renewed rounds of heavy rain.

FOX Weather Hurricane Specialist Bryan Norcross discusses the first outlook issued for the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season, which was released Thursday morning by forecasters at Colorado State University.
