The bill, named “Our Money in China Transparency Act,” is the latest effort to track U.S. investment in China amid rising concerns about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) espionage efforts against the United States and its citizens. “The CCP is a national security threat; it’s time we act like it. House of Representative members leading a special committee questioned Apple CEO Tim Cook on Wednesday concerning the tech company’s choice to cancel Jon Stewart’s Apple TV+ talk show because the host was planning a segment on China. The letter addressed whether or not the streaming giant was reticent about having China as the subject material of one of the series’ episodes, as originally reported by Variety. SAN FRANCISCO—A man was taken away on Wednesday after attacking an NTD reporter covering the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit. The incident unfolded near the intersection of 4th Street and Market Street, a few blocks from the Moscone Center, where many APEC meetings are being held. The attack was caught on a cellphone video filmed by Jason Blair, a reporter working for NTD, a sister media outlet of The Epoch Times. In an interview with The Epoch Times Wednesday night, Mr. Blair said the man, likely in his 20s, first targeted Falun Gong practitioners before attacking him. The practitioners have been putting up large banners at the location to raise awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) 24-year persecution against their faith as CCP leader Xi Jinping is in the city for the APEC summit....
