A Chinese Coast Guard ship came within three feet of ramming a Philippines Coast Guard vessel. The Chinese vessel cut across the bow of the Filipino vessel, the BRP Sindangan, ultimately passing just feet away as the Filipino crew threw off the engines and attempted to reverse to avoid a catastrophe. The Chinese Coast Guard vessel then proceeded to harass the Filipino crew, demanding over a megaphone that the vessel leave Chinese territory. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) told Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leader Xi Jinping on Monday that he was disappointed by China’s statement that failed to condemn Hamas’ deadly attack in Israel.
